Would like to have a monitor where I could se the rear view from the K2. And also get the speed and these warnings in real time. Not sure how that can be connected though, Maybe time for a K3.
Connect the Radar sensor to the DVRof Camera, and send the detected distance data.
And how could this be done? The K2 has no free connector. Or could the distance sensor be connected to to the K2 instead of the GPS sensor?
The question is,always has car behind, and you always can see the changing data, it looks useless.
better no such information if too much and not useful to read.
If you want to sue idiots like the one below, it would be usefull to see the distance in the video

You have good idea, GPS module has three wires, and the distance sensor is same. we can use the current GPS connector to try, and see how it works. Will keep you updated later.

Sorry, I still are not clear, why do blame the car behind you?

Because he is approx 3-4 m behind me while we are driving at nearly 50 km/h. If anything forces me to brake, he will have to time to stop and will crash into me.
What safe distance does the traffic department require?
At that speed, something around 10-15m
You could not sue the car close you behind unless it hit you.
Maybe not in China, but in Germany you can. It is called "necessitation" (ger: Nötigung), because he puts me at risk and and forces be to drive faster or let him pass to avoid the risk.
Could you share some more information about the components and installation?
How are the mirros connected to the sensors? Cable or radio?
Is there a central unit controlling everything?
Can the left and right sensor be installed without the indicators?
The mirror connect to the sensors by Wires, that is more stable.
Is there a central unit controlling everything?
Yes, there is a center unit controlling everything, a square box same as the the K2 power converter.
Can the left and right sensor be installed without the indicators?
Yes, we have been working this option, ThirdEYE to be a series product category, different options for different installation.
After further discussion, there is the new versions.
The body of detector is going to be far more smaller and the bracket is designed.
Mirror Version
The Watch Version
The car is flashing when detected the behind vehicle within 10 meters.
The new sensor looks quite better than the old version.
I would love to attach this sensor to the K2 to have the distance of tailgating cars directly in the video (*ring, ring*. New product idea :-)

It detects the cars behind and trigger the brake light flashing to warning the driver.
Yes, it can shows the distance of tailgating cars in the video.
Even people think about to connect the sensor to Bluetooth, there is voice alarm to pay attention the cars behind.
Could you please explain some more details about this? Can ThirdEye or the Sensor be connected to the K2?
@Frostie
Connect the Radar sensor to the DVR of Camera, and send the detected distance data.
Camera can show such data to video clips like what GPS module does.

Yes, that happens.

that is safe distance at the speed like 50km/h, and the current radar only can detect the car behind Max 10m.
When many cars on road at peeking time, only 2 to 5 meters between two cars in China. so easy to get hit if lose attention for a second.
