Hello, I installed the k5 today and the front camera imagine is only good when the bike is not moving. It is mounted where a cheap noname camera was before, the k5 image is better but super shaky, much worse than than the cheap camera. Is there a way to stabilize it? I tested Thinkware M1, GoPro hero 7, Niceboy vega 8k and a very cheap nomame camera. The k5 has the worst response to vibrations. Surely I am doing something wrong, it is the most expensive of them all.

Hi Ondrej,
Perhaps it is possible to mount the K5 just above the headlight.
If you're handy you might be able to make a bracket that attaches to the mounting points of your screen.
What are the possibilities to use the attachment of your headlight?
the advantage of these places is also that the K5 films from the center of the motorcycle. Otherwise you could see if you can attach the K5 to the beginning of the mirror bracket.
In principle you can place the K5 anywhere as long as you use the shortest possible liver as Frostie mentioned. Because that is now the cause of the vibration.
The position you mounted the K5 is the worst imaginable in regards of vibrations, because the lever will multiply the vibrations from the handle bar.
Depending on the bike, it is hard to find a good mounting position for the K5 because of its size. Can you post some pictures of the front and side of your bike? Maybe we will see a better mounting position there.
Vibration of the image can have several causes.
- The K5 may be heavier than the previous camera, causing the mounting point to vibrate more.
- The wiring of the K5 is too tight.
- No use has been made of the rubber rings to dampen the vibrations.
- The k5 is placed on a thin plastic part of your motorcycle.
Each camera is sensitive to vibrations in its own way due to its design/weight. It's a matter of trial and error to find a good spot on your motor bike.
Maybe you can share pictures of your motorcycle and how you have placed the camera now. This can give us more information to think along for a good mounting location.
