The mounting hole on the K5 DVR has an M6 thread, but the standard for photographic equipment is 1/4" or 3/8" threads. How can I mount the DVR on something like this SmallRig ball-head mount which has a 1/4" thread? I am looking for ideas.
Thanks. I actually thought about using an adapter like that one, but I identified a couple of problems with it that made it seem to be a less than ideal solution.
Thinking about it some more, however, I think I can make it work.
One problem is what if the M6 bolt on the adapter is too long? I think I can just hacksaw it and file it shorten it up however.
The main problem is how can I stop the DVR rotating on the M6 bolt? I need it to keep pointing in the same direction. I'm thinking I can just use a blob of glue to hold the DVR in place against the adapter. I'm thinking hot glue.
