Hi all,
After a crazy driver incident, I went to check the video and realised my K5 hadn't recorded this season at all.
I can't find the colour coding for the cables, so struggling without pulling all the cables out.
The small power unit only shows solid blue.
The handlebar remote has no lights.
The small power box only has solid blue when the bikes on.. no flashing.
I've disconnected the front unit and plugged to USB only and it connects to wifi and can see the camera view fine.
I can try connecting each cable one by one although its really cramped to get to, but would be good to know the colour coding or if the power unit being solid blue without flashing is anything obvious.
thanks in advance
Alex
Appreciating it's an Innovv forum, I had a reply from Denali about the Cansmart, again to help others..
the formal view from Denali is the Red/Black from the Innovv should be direct to battery and only the yellow connected to the Cansmart.. however, I've seen a professional installer do all 3 wires to the Cansmart.
Thank you for the colour coding and recommendations.
It's now resolved - the suggestions were correct - no power to yellow acc wire.
if it helps others...
I checked the unit worked with ISB power- it did.
I connected the yellow ACC wire to the battery directly and the power unit flashed blue.
I checked the output of the Cansmart and found the yellow wire wasn't powering.
I plugged in the cansmart, changed the unit output from Auxillary to Horn and back to Auxillary... the yellow wire now powers.
I reconnected all the Innovv cables and the unit now works!
I read somewhere to disconnect the cables as the rear camera could be at fault, however, I would recommend checking the yellow power first if the unit shows solid blue and then go from there.
thanks all!
Alex

At the DVR...
Orange male => GPS
Orange female => Power Module
Black male => Rear cam
Black female => Remote control
Red female => Mic

This all sounds like the power module does not get the status of the ignition. Which means that the yellow cable does not seem to be connected to switched 12V (anymore).
Just for a test you can hold the yellow cable to the + of the battery (with red and black of course still connected to the battery). This way you would make the power module "think" ignition is on. After 10 sec the K5 should start booting and you should see the leds at the remote start blinking. If it does, the K5 and the power module are ok and you simply need to check your 12V switched power connection for the yellow cable.
Dear Alex
Hope that you are all well.
The blue light should be flashing when you turn on the igintion, but now, it is solid on, so we guess the yellow cable may drop off from the Acc, to illustrate it, please connect the yellow cable to the positive pole of the motorcycle battery, turn on the ignition, see if the converter is flashing or not?
You confirm that the K5 works well with a USB power supply, right?
Thanks and hope to get from you soon.
