This is a sample of the K5's video, audio, and GPS. The map track was one-time manual sync to the video track in the editor. I was not very precise in lining up the map to the video so it may be +/- a second or two off. In any case, the K5 produced some excellent and useable files which in conjunction with Dashcam Viewer and Debut Video I was able to crank out a segment of a ride with little effort. The K5's GPS metadata provides context to any ride. This is half the battle in producing ride along motorcycle videos.

Hi, is it possible to put a USB cable permanently to the K5? Because if I would install it to my bike I like to fix it on a spot where it`s roughly not possible to get the SD card out or to open the cover everytime. Is it possible to modify the cover?
Below is a video created much in the same vain as the above K5 All In One, but with less of an info flavor and more of a general viewer taste. I'll stop with the posting these vids here, and did so only to demonstrate that from the K5 captures you may share the experience of a ride. In this video I'm attempting to mimic the rider's vantage point. The rear camera capture is flopped in the "mirror", the route is centered on the "smart phone", the trip audio is present at normal speeds, and the voice over...well, the rider (me), I'm babbling about something. I don't have a great deal of experience at this, making videos, but if I can get it to this level, anyone can get their vids here and beyond.
Peter, yes and no. I have plugged a laptop into the mini USB port on the K5 DVR and copied files from the DVR to the laptop via File explorer. DVR gets powered from the laptop via mini USB.
I think there are instructions in the FAQ that state firmware upgrades are managed via the SD/TF card (see FAQ #4). Good luck.
Been in contact with tech support many times and it seems like they have fixed everything I have complaining about. WiFi, Separate microphone and so on.
Looks like they used my wish list. Is it also possible to use the USB port to download files and add firmware? Not fun having to remove the SSD to do those every time.
Have they solved the issues with WiFi?
I have never been able to use my phone to se what happens behind me on my K2. My Bluetooth interfere.
That's nice. Any instructions on how to do that?
Context is good for any story. If the footage lags, the map provides some context to keep a viewer occupied. I'm thinking it can only get better and I'm satisfied with where it is at now. Thanks for your assistance/advice.
Everything's fine now and I can watch the video.
I like the satellite view you are using here. It's a nice idea. And the audio is very good. Nice sound from the engine while your voice is still understand. Sadly the cams get a lot of vibrations, which leads to the rear cam hopping and the front cam sometimes showing serious jello effects.
I guess it is hard to find a spot with minor vibrations on a big twin.
Frostie! Sorry about that. It's all new to me. I have changed the setting from Private to Unlisted. If that does not allow you to view the video, I'll go Public with it. However, it is not a "polished" piece. Let me know if you have problems viewing.
The video is marked as "privat", so we can't watch it.
