The problem with the Spyder is room yes I could have pushed the K5 DVR further forward to stop the bluring on the edges of front screen but I don’t have tiny hands and I find it easier at times to pull out the SD Card and download it.
Firt part was to remove all the plastic, after we planned on how to install it,
all the Tupperware taken off, as you see there looks to be heaps of room but looks are decptive,
Connection to the battery and customer power supply so it does drain your battery,
Mounting bracket for the K5 DVR as you can see the idea was to support the bracket from the screen mounts the rear arm of the bracket we used double sided Velcro on the arm to the rear of the instrument cluster,
Where to put the DVR,
final look of the bracket painted before the DVR was added,
how it looks with the DVR scured on the bracket, my biggest gripe is the mass of ccables out of the back of the DVR like I dont mind the GPS, the WFI and the Mike, but i woud have been nice if they where longer so you can hide the connections or one plug that everything plugged into it.
All the Bits in place you can see the mike behind the DVR so it would not effected by wind noise and out of the weather the rear Camera we used the left hand grip mount where it is attached to the Spyder which you see on one of the earlier pictures. As you can see on the left of the instrument cluster all the cables like I mentioned would be nice if it was longer.
Hey,
Congratulation! Finnally finish the installation!
CAN AM Spyder, a really cool motorcycle, and it seems K5 fit well in it.
Also thanks for your sharing and advice of cables out of the back of the DVR, we will feed this to our engineer and see if they can do anything.
Enjoy your ride!
Best wishes,
