Hi,
when powering the K5 via the micro-USB (under the cover) it works without flaws. Now, as I use it on a cargo bicycle I need to power it via a powerbank. As it is needs to be waterproof I can't use the USB port but cut the wires. However, when powering up it goes into an endless loop it somehow does not get engouh Amp - it only works with a USB bucket booster where I manually.
Any ideas how to fix that?
Could you explain in more detail what you mean by "..but cut the wires". What wires did you cut to connect the powerbank to? And what power bank are you using?
Either way...I think using a power bank to power the K5 will not work. At least it won't be enough to simply connect the K5 to the power bank, because you have to make sure that the K5 does a graceful shutdown before cutting off power. Otherwise you would risk to corrupt the current video files and/or damage the file system on the SD Card.
So when powering the K5 directly via the 3-Pin plug (5V), you have to put a switch in the control line to "tell" the K5 when to start up and when to shut down.
