I have recorded 3 long rides in the last few weeks and theg videos have worked great. I removed the previous videos from the card and then reinserted the card into the camera. I went for a ride today that totaled over 3 hours of ride time that included at least 3-4 shutoffs and restarts. When I got home, I looked at the card, and I had 2 clips (1 front/1 rear) of about 30 seconds each first thing this morning and then nothing after at that. I did see that the lights were active on the button. There has been no water or anything else that would have adversely effected the unit.
Any thoughts? I will check the settings, and I am planning to ride tomorrow.
Update: I rode for a few hours today (06192022) and the same thing has happened again. I checked the settings and all seem to be correct. I guess the next logical thing to do may be to restore it to default and start over.
Thank you for the input. It is much appreciated.
I do now have videos displayed. Although I do not have the accident/protected folders I had before. I suspect they might display once something needs to be added to them.
Yes, These folders get created at the first time the K5 wants to put videos in there.
Alright, so I decided to just format the card using the K5 app. The first time I tried, it failed. I then tried again and it was successful. I then rode for about an hour. I do now have videos displayed. Although I do not have the accident/protected folders I had before. I suspect they might display once something needs to be added to them.
I was able to check the recording status light during a ride and found it to be flashing.
Is it flashing fast (5x per second) or slow (1x per second)?
Should I attempt to reformat the card?
Yes. The K5 (also the K2/K3) are a little bit bitchy when it is about the filesystem format.
Update: I was able to check the recording status light during a ride and found it to be flashing. I confirmed that there is a card in it the camera (same I had used previously without problems). The card appears to be properly seated in the camera. The card is readable.
After the last ride that the recording worked, I did make an adjustment to the sensitivity of the system as to not get so many videos in the protected folder. Is it possible this caused this issue? I will readjust this to its previous setting to see if it makes a difference.

When you start the K5, what is the green led doing? Blinking or steady on?
Dear Sir ,
Did you check the Setting in the App everytime before running? If your answer is yes, please be sure to quit the App by clicking the backspace in the top left corner(in the left bottom for some mobiles ), please do not swap it up to quit the App or the Camera will not record.
