Has anyone extracted (or attempted to) the K5's GPS metadata from a TS/MP4 file? I'm hoping for a means to generate a GPX type format complied from the K5 videos.
With the Dashcam Viewer program you can also export GPS data.
Open the video files in DashcamViewer.
Then click on the Data button. In the window that now opens you can choose which type of GPS file you want to use (CVS, GPS, KML, GeoJSON). Then click Save as.... at the bottom of this screen.
Your GPS data will now be exported in the file type you selected.
See exiftool.org . There is a youtube video explaining how to use this tool. I am able to get GPS lat long track and position but not the time, which is not a big deal I guess.
Update: From the latest version of Dashcam Viewer I was able to extract GPS metadata from a folder of K5 captured video files (I did separate the front and rear clips and only included the front camera files) and generate a useable GPX format file which imported into Garmin Basecamp and reproduced the route.
As far as I know, Dashcam viewer doesn't support the Innovv K5 videos yet. It will play the video but not showing the correct speed and no maps images. Heard they are working on this issue.
@louis.loong I recognize the problem with the combination of the K5 and Dashcamviewer. The Innovv app cannot read the GPS data either. So seems like a K5 problem to me.
@INNOVV MotoCam Thanks for the link. Dashcam viewer is the ticket. It is another amazing program. Dashcam provides sample videos which is good because I have no GPS data in my K5 videos yet. Dashcam picks up on front/rear camera setups and displays a PIP playback along with the GPS metadata in adjacent windows. I was able to generate a GPX file from the sample videos.

The dashcamviewer app seems to set the last part of every video to 0mph regardless of actual speed. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've just tested it on some K5 videos.
The DVPlayer can use the GPS data of MP4 and TS files. But there is no option to extract the GPS data to an extra file. It's only viewing.
Has anyone checked if http://DVplayer.NET has added support yet?

That should be possible using dashcamviewer
