Got two concerns, one more concerning than the other.
The first one that is more of a "hmmm, that's odd" rather than a problem. Finally for the wiring exactly how I want it. Looks clean, what I want hidden is out of sight, and what needs to be visible is discrete. This is the first time I have actually put the remote where I can see it. I wish I had done that before. My concern is that the green light came on the other day, but has not come on since. It seems to record properly, just that the green light is not working.
The second issue is one that I would like to figure out how to get fixed. When I first set this up with this new configuration, I tried taking a picture. I was able to get that done and can see many advantages when I am riding; both for safely and for my challenges. I have since tried while it is in the garage, with my bare finger (no gloves). No matter how fast I try to double click, I cannot get a picture.
One other minor issue, that may be related to the other two. If I press the button to save a video (I assume that it will go into the protected directory), the video is not explicitly saved. This would be a benefit since I do long distance rides and often exceed the recording time on an SD card. Using the "save video" feature I can know that this particular clip will be saved, even if I don't get a chance to swap cards.
Any ideas? None of these issues are stopping me from using it, but I would like to be able to take full advantage of the camera.
Can you check whether the connector of the remote control is still firmly attached, and that no moisture has entered it. Because if everything worked well first and now it doesn't anymore, a bad contact is the first thing I think about.
In addition, how not to be afraid that you will immediately overwrite your videos. At the highest resolution, you would have to record more than 14 hours with a 256GB card before the oldest video is overwritten.
