Maybe you can use a video editing app like Video Converter or iMovie to reduce the file size of the video and make it easier to download and view on your iPhone.
If you are able to edit the video using an app, you would have already transfered the file to the iphone. So there would be no need to reduce its size anymore :-)
Reading the SD card in a computer is still the fastest way. The 2.4GHz WiFi connection is indeed slow. It is better to only use this connection to adjust settings in the K3.
That's been my experience as well with android. transfer speeds are greatly improved the closer you can get your phone to the module.
Alternatively, I have a USB-C to micro SD adapter that i used recently. Remove the sd card from the K3 and insert it into the adapter and transfer the files off of it directly to the phone. They make them for the lightning connector on the Iphone as well. One thing i want to investigate is a micro SD extender cable. I use one on my 3D printer to get better access to the SD mico card and i'm wondering, since my K3 module is beneath the seat, if i can use the extension cable to make accessing the SD card easier.
Stood closer to dvr and no improvement with download speed. The whole idea of wifi is to negate having to remove the card or use cables. To do that I have to remove my seat and pull the dvr out. I only want to download one video.
That's why i'm thinking of using a SD micro extension cable i can mount somewhere more accessible, maybe modify a keychain sized waterproof pill holder to encapsulate the reader end so it's protected, then just unscrew a cap to access it.
downloading video at the K3 by wifi is bloddy slow. During my review tests I got a maximum transfer speed of 3.9 MB/sec. And there is nothing you can do to improve the speed.
Using USB is a little bit faster (11.2 MB/sec), but still too slow to download more than one or two videos.
The only practical way is by removing the sd card and put it into a computer.
A SD card extender, as mentioned above, could make it easier for you to access the SD card, but please bear in mind that, with an extender attached, the DRV is then no longer splash-proof.
