So when i press the button or it senses an acciddent from the accellerometer and the camera light is doing the 2 flash a second, it's still recording, but to the protected folder?
Then when that 3minute recording is complete, it goes back to recording them in the normal directory.
I'm sure i'll figure it out eventually but I wish the manual was more complete 😐I watched both of Nick Hodges videos on the K3, but it wasn't mentioned. Thanks again.

Yes, that's correct.
Then when that 3minute recording is complete, it goes back to recording them in the normal directory.
That's correct, too.
When an incident happens, the K3 saves the current video to the protected folder.
So if the video length is set to 3 min and the incident happens after two minutes, the K3 will move the video to the proteced folder and will keep recording to it for the remaining minute.
After that, the K3 will start the next video file in the normal folder.
So it depends on the remaining lenght of the current video file how long the led will flash 2 times a second.
When you press the button, the recording is saved in the Protected folder. Accident videos are saved in the Accident folder. In all cases the recording is not interrupted.
Accident videos are stored in the Accident folder and can be recognized by the file name ending in FG or RG.
Parking mode videos are stored in the Parking folder and can be recognized by their file name ending in FP or RP.
Protected mode videos are stored in the Protected folder and can be recognized by the file name ending in FK or RK.
See the manual.
