I have a SanDisk Extreme Pro 256GB microSD card formatted with an old version of K3 and it worked until I lost it when removing it. I bought another one and it gives me an error when formatting on the dash cam. I have formatted fat32 on a PC with a specific program and when I use the dash cam it only records from the front or it simply gives me a card error. If I format from dash cam it leaves me in raw and I have to format from PC
I'm going to buy another 256GB card but it's not clear to me what the minimum and maximum features are.
So since I don't understand cards, I would like to know what 256GB cards are installed.
Should any difference be noticed in recording pro o no pro? another brand?
The Samsung 256GB arrived with no problem.Insert card directly and dash cam recognizes. The sandisk 256gb that I have CONFIRMED has some problem. When used on a TAPO C200 camera, it detects it without problem, formats it but randomly does not record. When accessing the camera application it reports a problem with memory. I will return Sandisk card because it is defective Thanks for your help
Screenshot of inserting card into dash cam. I format the dash cam and it tells me that it will stop recording and format... I proceed and now it even blocks the dash cam
Screenshot of inserting card when reading on PC. It lets me format in exfat, ntfs or fat32 without problem. On other devices such as a camera, it detects me correctly.
What format do I leave in to be able to format in dash cam?
Can you indicate which error message you receive when formatting? Make a screenshot if necessary.
It is recommended to format the card in the K3 using the app, and not on a PC.
What do you mean by 'it leaves me raw'? Recordings are recorded in TS or MP4 format.
The fact that recordings are only made with the front camera indicates that there is more going on.
To ensure that the K3 software is correct, it is recommended to first upgrade it to the latest version.
To check whether the one camera recording is related to a defective camera, you can swap the cameras at the connections on the DVR.
My experience is that there is no difference in use between the Extreme Pro cards and the Extreme cards. Maybe the Pro will last longer? I personally use SD cards from the Samsung Evo Plus series.
The specifications for the SD card can be found in the K3 manual.
