Once I insert the SD card into the DVR the card becomes "write protected" after recording about ten files and renders the cameras non functional. Any ideas as how to resolve? Thank you in advance. Bernard.
Hi Hans. I have tried what you have advised in "Command Prompt" already to no avail. I bought a new card today (SanDisk). So I will try once more and see what happens.
Would you like to try the following with your SD card?
Step 1: In the first step, plug the SD card into Windows.
Step 2: Click on the Start button and type CMD in the search and open the result.
Step 3: Now type diskpart in the CMD search.
Step 4: Afterwards, type in the list volume.
Step 5: All the discs on the windows will start to show up. Find the SD Card Disk now.
Step 6: Then type "select volume #". Instead of #, type the letter of your memory card drive.
Step 7: Now, type disc clear read-only attributes.
Step 8: Afterwards, the write protection will be removed.I've seen you use an Apple and the above is for a Windows PC. Maybe you have access to a Windows PC somewhere. Unfortunately, I don't know how to do the above actions on an Apple, maybe Google can help you with this.
The SD card 256 Samsung Pro as you can see from attached files I can only read.
When I format the card in the App it says "format Successful"
Then when I open the video in the app I have the following. When I press the camera icon at the bottom I get "operation failed"
and I get "card error" as the card is "read only"
I have attached the screenshots to show the date and times that the card functioned.
I thought it was a "card" problem so I replaced it with the same make and model which had functioned quite well for months until the same problem arose. As you can see the second card functioned for less than a day.
I hope you can help locate the problem and ensure that I don't have to buy another SD card and have a repeat performance.
Can you install the latest firmware version of the K3? I see that you are working with an old version, maybe this can cause a problem. You can download the latest firmware version here https://www.innovv.com/firmware-app
The error you get when you press record what is this?
Basically you don't have to press record. The K3 automatically starts recording.
You do not need to format in the PC/Mac. Formatting from within the app is the best method.
Is the other card you are also having the problem with the same make/type/model as the first card?
Can you also tell us which app version and firmware you are using? You can see this at the bottom of settings.
If the card has become write protected, is the 10GB the total of all folders created? Can you perhaps add a print screen of the overview of all folders on the card (so at the time the problem occurs)?
What settings have you set in the app? Do you have loop recording turned on? If this is off, no more recordings will be made when the card is full.

Hi Hans. Thanks for your prompt reply. The card is 256 GB and there is only 10 GB used. The cameras are working fine but when I press "record" I get an error message. I have formatted the card. The app tells me "card formatted" but when I try to record I get "card error" I tried to format on my Mac and PC but get "read only" in card properties. Tried in command prompt, also to no avail. This is the second card (same size, same problem)

Hi Hans. I cannot copy the newer firmware to the card as it's Read Only. I think the only alternative is a new card
