Hi, new to the forum, quick question and sorry if repeated but could not find an answer...
Just started using the K3 a couple of months ago, didn't ride much so didn't bother checking as I knew recording was working as I checked connectivity with the app (iphone) - no issues once you figure it has to be on airplane mode.
Last November we did a 9 day travel thru northern Argentina, great great views,... I 'recorded' say 15-20 videos of important moments like near crashes, animals crossing in front of us, great mountain views, bridges and water crossings and a few other which I did want to keep - I did this by pressing the button...
I checked a few days after returning and could not find any of these videos which I wanted protected, only 1 file on the protected folder but is was nothing I wanted....also found lots of videos in the park folder (now I know I have to disable the G-sensor... have a 256Gb card, set my video to 720 just to allow more videos to be recorded . I'm not concerned with video quality...also set the loop time to 5 minutes for less files...
Any other tips? how to the different folders actually work? I don't need parking or accident videos, I want to be able to 'save' parts of my trip for later review..that's it...
thanks a lot..!
Hi Daniel, first another tip: post your question in the correct forum section. The K3 has its own forum section which you can find here https://www.innovv.com/forum/innovv-k3
If you post your question there you have a faster chance of a good answer.
@Frostie can you move this topic to the correct forum?
As for your questions:
The setting of the G-sensor does not affect the sensitivity of the parking mode. Parking mode can only be turned off or on.
The G-sensor setting only affects the accident videos. The more sensitive you set the G-sensor, the greater the chance that a video will be saved as an accident (is a protected recording).
When you press the button on the remote control to make a protected video, the green LED must flash for a while at a frequency of 2 flashes per second. After that, the green LED lights up continuously again when unprotected recordings are made again.
It is possible that you did not press the button well enough and therefore did not make a protected recording. Have you already checked whether the button on the remote control works properly?
Accident videos are stored in the Accident folder and can be recognized by the file name ending in _FG or _RG.
Parking mode videos are stored in the Parking folder and can be recognized by their file name ending in _FP or _RP.
Protected mode videos are stored in the Protected folder and can be recognized by the file name ending in _FK or _RK.
Photos are stored in the PHOTO folder and are of type .JPG.
Unprotected videos are stored in the VIDEO folder and are identified by the file name ending in _F or _R.
