I have a problem with K3 extracting GPS data using Dashcam Viewer. It's missing from the video files. The issue appears to be with Protected files only, normal video files (in VIDEO folder) have GPS data. Is it the bug in INNOVV firmware or Dashcam Viewer app? Is there any other way to check / extract GPS data from protected videos?

Hello Guys , I have contacted with Dashcam viewer and this problem will be solved in the next version. (v3.8.9)
Thanks for all your help!
Hello Guys, could you send us some original protected videos which you can not see the GPS information on dashcam viewer?

I have found what causes the GPS data to not be read while it is on the screen. They are protected recordings.
I have the exact same problem with protected recordings. GPS data is shown, but this data is not read by DashcamViewer.
A protected video can be recognized by the name of the video file, which ends with _FK or _RK. The same goes for parking videos, which end with _FP or _RP. These also show GPS data if there is a GPS fix, but this data is not read by DashcamViewer either.
The advice is to lower the sensitivity of the G-sensor so that the DVR becomes less sensitive to vibrations and shocks. If it is too sensitive, the video recordings will be marked as protected too quickly. It's try-and-error to see how sensitive the G-sensor should be set. This also depends on where and how you placed the DVR.
@INNOVV™ Steven Hu, can you tell us why GPS data cannot be read with protected videos and parking videos while it is on the screen?
Can you post some protected video files where you don't think GPS data is present? I wonder if I can read the GPS data.
I can understand that there is no GPS data with a parking video. But I find it strange that GPS data is not present with a protected video while it is present with normal recording.
Hello , Could you check if there is no GPS information in the videos in the packing videos folder or protected videos folder again?
It is normal that there is no GPS information in the video in packing vidoes folder.
Video format does not matters.
Forgot to mention that all video files (normal and protected) are in TS format, if that matters...
