I have a WiFi connection with my phone to the device but the app says there is no WiFi connection. Tried rebooting, make new WiFi connection. Reset the WiFi connection. Can’t seem
Heres an update for you Ron.You will have to wait patiently, just like the rest of us.The "no connection" even though connected with Wifi has been there since release. This is for iOS and Android.
The issue is that since the DVR is set as an accesspoint, it tries to "trick" your phone into having data run over the Wifi connection. However since the DVR does not have internet connection, iOS and Android detect this and send data over 3G/4G, whatever you use, and not over the Wifi signal, and are also not expecting data over Wifi, thus the app can not connect to the DVR.If you connect, just switch off your data on your phone and it will work too.Because of this Issue I bought a different brand for my Car (Blackvue)This has exactly the same issue....But the Blackvue for my car has another option where it tries to connect with another WiFi to automatically upload the data on the card to the cloud, thatone tries to connect to a WiFi signal and connects to my home Wifi, don't need the app to connect to the DVR anymore.
@Xi-Sheng Luo thanks, they released a new app and now it works again. I find it strange that they were very late with updating their app. The beta was out for months so the developers had more than enough time to solve this.
@Rock Liu No that doesn’t work. I am very disappointed in support. An expensive system and not even ready for IOS 13. The beta has been out for months now so developers should have done their job.
I hope you are working with iOS 13.1 because that is just released here....
But again a few days passed by and still no solution.
Understood, you have iOS 13.1 version.
Please refer below to forget the network before connect to WiFi.
If still does not work,
Turn phone to airplane mode, and enable WiFi only to connect the WiFi again.
Keep me updated after testing.
Every new version of OS release, we should spend time and make App to be compatible.
iPhone xsmax iOS 13.1
@Ron Prudon
Can you let me know what phone mode you have?
Is it Android or iOS?
Please follow below instruction to do setting,
5) connect app to K2
a) turn airplane on
b) turn wifi on
c) turn location on (no need to have a gps lock)
d) connect to K2's wifi network
e) call application
We noticed some phone models have such issue.
That issue is very common.. Please take a look here
