Hello,
I am suddenly experiencing a wierd problem with the power supply in conjunction with a Hex Ezcan.
For the past two years my K2 worked flawlessly, it is connected straight to the battery and the yellow wire is connected tot my Ezcan. The Ezcan port is setup as a accessory outlet (5A) and powers down after 40 seconds, all as recommended in the install post on the forum. Recently I changed the battery and after reconnecting everything to the new battery the K2 is a mess.
What now happens is that the power supply powers up after I start the bike, so the signal is getting through.
However the K2 DVR doesn’t start up, I have to press the button to get it to start.
Then when I stop the bike the power supply stays powered and the K2 DVR doesn’t shut down.
If I start the bike again the power supply powers down and the DVR stops?!
Has anyone encountered the same issue? The Ezcan seems to work as it should but the Innovv power supply is acting weird.
What can i do, reset or new firmware install? I just can think of a reason for it acting up after only changing a battery.
Thanks for any help!
Martin
You can connect the yellow wire to a switched power supply outside the EzCan. From your story it seems to me that the EzCan is the cause of the problem. Try connecting the yellow wire to a switched power supply outside the EzCan. This does not affect the canbus operation. I myself have a BMW K1600GT (2018) where I have not had any canbus problems with various Innovv cameras. I don't use the EzCan either.
Hello Martin,
Is it possible if you can connect the K2 DC converter to the battery and yellow wire to a switch live cable direcly and see if it works normal?
