I just got back from a ride today and wanted to check the video on the DVR.
I turned on the motorcycle and connected to the Wi-Fi. After opening the app, the Wi-Fi connection dropped.
After that, I haven't been able to get the DVR to stay on long enough to get a Wi-Fi connection.
It powers on after 10 seconds, flashes it's icons for another 16 seconds, and then shuts off. (See attached video) I can press the silver button and it turns on and shut down after 16 seconds.
I'm on K2.20200513.V0.70
Things I've tried or observed:
1. I can see the blue light on the power converter.
2. I've tried to turn on the bike without the yellow wire and the blue light stays off. When I connect the yellow wire to the switched power source the blue light comes on and the DVR powers up after 10 seconds and then shuts off after 16 seconds.
3. If I connect a USB power supply to the DVR it comes on and stays on as expected. At this pointed, I turned off Parking mode.
4. Even with Parking mode turned off, if I try to power the DVR via the motorcycle it powers up and shuts down.
5. The motorcycle is new and so is the battery. I bought the motorcycle in August and the Innovv on August 23.
6. When I viewed the videos on the SD card, it recorded my riding sessions all day, but it hasn't recorded anything since it's been shutting down.
Why does it keep shutting down now and how do I fix it?
Update: Two and a half hours later after the motorcycle cooled down, the Innovv is staying on now. It was only 65 F after the sun went down, so it wasn't super hot out :-/
Apologize for any inconvenience that has caused first.
Could you kindly try to connect the DVR with the USB power supply again and connecting the front camera at the same time? Please kindly let us know the DVR status.
At this point everything has cooled down and it looks like its working again. Do you still want me to try this? Or should I wait and try this if my issue happens again?
Did you mount the power module at a place where it can get hot?
Some other user had issues with the power module at high ambient temperatures. And the effect he described sounds exactly as what you describe here.
You will find his thread here.

I mounted it under my fuel tank above the engine. Maybe since the motorcycle wasn't moving and there was no airflow it got too hot.
My power module has a blue light.
Weren't the heat issues resolved with the newer power modules with the blue light didn't have heat issues?

There are two power modules with a blue led. Here he posted a picture of them.

Left the newest one, which resolved his issues, right the old one, with which he had heat issues.
Bah! I have the older one. How do I get the newer version?
I ended up relocating the power module away from the engine and put it underneath the seat instead. Hopefully this will fix any heat issues.
@Arren A Glad to hear that. If the heat problem still exists, please kindly keep us updated.
Hey look, I'm famous! I'm fairly sure that relocating the power converter will not help you. I'll save you some reading by summarizing my experience:
--it did not matter where it was installed, the old-style power converter would always shut down the system seemingly at random, even in barely-warm weather.
--it was reliable in winter only.
The thing that fixed this was the new-style power converter, with the label oriented the opposite way.
I guess I won't find out till next year since the weather finally turned cold. Mine isn't shutting down at random and it only seemed to happen the one time. I went on another ride in high 50F degree weather and it seemed to record everything without gaps.
@Arren A Hello, thank you for your feedback here. Please kindly contact us if the shut down problem still exists.
Yep, that's pretty much how mine behaved. It was fine all winter, then started acting up again in spring (as soon as it got warm).
In the meantime, maybe Innovv or your vendor will be nice and give you a new-design power converter.
