I had an INNOV K2 on my BMW GS and had to get the new power controller with the blue light as the older model was draining my battery. I have a new bike and want to order a new INNOV K2. Is the only way to determine if the unit comes with the correct power converter is to ask the supplier to verify the blue light on the converter? Is there a new Part number or date code etc. on the box that they can look at to validate that it is not one of the older units without the new power converter?
Thanks!
Yes I would be interested in a replacement too since my power controller is one of the originals.
Hello Jeff,
Since last June, we have replaced the converter that you described as having a blue working light.
If you buy now, you'll get the latest K2 and Converter.
The dealer will no longer sell the old models.
My dealer does not know what production year they have on the shelf. Are there any markings on the box or DVR that would let them know what Production Year they have on the shelf. They are not sure if it is an older unit that may have the issue with the controller. Also, am to understand that your most current units don't have the blue light? Did INNOVV fix something within the DVR so the controller with the blue light is not needed? Thank you!
Currently our most recent converters have a blue work light.
As shown in figure, you can see that the joint is also metal.
The converter will switch the parking mode on and off depending on the voltage of the motorcycle battery.
