Only Info I have is, that V64 allows you to switch off Wifi. That feature was implemented because some users got interferences at their TPMS due to wifi.
I thought that having the WiFi always on would annoy me. But given the reliability problems I've had with the system, the WiFi being always-on has been a useful status indicator.
But that won't work for everyone.
Does turning off WiFi substantially reduce the K2's power draw, or heat generation?
If you choose to turn off the WiFi, the recording is still in progress. You can judge by the green working indicator.
And the next time you turn on the bike, WiFi will be restored. If you want to turn it off, you need to go into Settings again to turn it off. With WiFi off, the current output is smaller, but only 10-20 milliamps.

That's not correct.
You do not need to go into settings to switch wifi off again.
If you set the new wifi timer, wifi will automatically switch off after the configured time. On next startup, wifi will be restored, but will switch off again after the configured time. That's what this new feature is for. :-)

In addition to WiFi being turned off, you can also choose a video format.
There are two formats - MP4 and TS.
