It is a known phenomenon that memory cards and USB sticks only work well for a certain time. Formatting and possibly reinstalling is often the only solution.
@Hans yes I was super stoked but at the same time, a little disappointed. Was going to tell the wife “oh no, K2 is gone, I need a new K3”. 😄
The market here in Singapore is flooded with cheaper sets from other brands but the after sales for Innovv here is excellent, even though the warranty is long over.
@Hans hi. Yes the DVR wouldn’t power up. the status lights would
go on for a second and then turn off by itself. the local dealer told me to try another SD card.
over the weekend, I flashed an official firmware onto the DVR and it has been working fine since. it is a bit of an hassle to keep looking under the seat on the DVR status lights though. hope to sell it and get the K3. 😄

The content of flash memory can get corrupted in some cases and by the time. I have an USB stick in my car, which I need to re-flash every some month, because some songs on it got corrupted. So chances are that your K2 will work fine again now. Regardless of whether you use the official or the modified firmware.
According to another post from Innovv, there are no more K2 spare parts in stock. So in case your K2 has a hardware failure, you would need to buy a K3 or something else.
