I have just had my DVI replaced after it went wrong after 2 weeks of functioning. Now the new one records only the front camera. While both cameras are operational (if you switch them over the rear is properly recorded), and in the photo mode both are displayed, only the xxF files are located on the SD card. Has anyone experienced the same issue? Is there a fix?
I got the same after I started the DVR with only the front cam connected. Even with both cams connected, the rear cam does not work. Neither are videos recorded nor is it displayed in liveview.
Check the resolution settings. On mine K2, there was a <nil> instead of the 1080p or 720p. After selecting the desired resolution and rebooting the K2, everything was ok.
Thanks, it has fixed the problem.
Hello,
first of all i have to say that i like the K2 system but it has some issues, i have a K2 running on a R1200 LC GSA and a K1600GT, on this bike everything went flawless until i did the V49 firmware update, after this the rear cam started to disconnect at the beginning without me noticing , the R1200 cam i installed 2 days after the new firmware came online so off course i did the update immediately , its on on this bike that i noticed it first because of the after installment testing then i checked the K1600 and it started to show the same problem.
Can i go back to the previous firmware to check if this is the real culprit?
best regards
Biggy
First of all...you can install a previous firmware without any problems. Simply copy the K2.bin of the firmware you want to install on the SD Card, put it into the K2 and start it up.
But did I got you right? You have two bikes (R1200 and K1600). On both bikes you installed the V49 and on both bikes the rear cam got disconnected after that?
Could you please connect to one of the K2 with the App and check the Resolution setting? Does it show your selected Resolution or does it show <nil>, like in this picture?
Hi Frostie, thx for the quick reply
Yes you got it right, only the K1600 was working fine before the upgrade and yes i got βnilβ in the resolution when the rear cam fails. To solve this i have to physically have to disconnect the cam and reconnect it while dvr is running and this almost every other day.
Where can i find the bin from the previous firmware so i can try if this is in fact the culprit.

Innovv has remove the older firmwares from their dropbox, but I saved them all. Nevertheless I am quite sure that the firmware is not the problem. The <nil> indicates that the K2 switch to a mode for what the App has not entry. In your case it probably switched to mode 5, where the rear cam is disabled.
Did you already tried to set the correct resolution in the App and then powering the K2 down properly? This should set the correct video mode with both cams enabled.
Yes i did this every time after i physically reinstalled the rear cam but after a day or two its the same error
Strange. And the same error on both bikes? Did you used the screws to secure the cam connectors?
If you want to try the older firmwares, you can download them here

You only have to rename them to K2.bin.
Yes everything installed as instructed, only thing i find strange is that i didnβt have any problems with the K1600 for two months, before i did the upgrade.
Thanks for the bins, iβll try it out and keep you informed

Update,
4 days now since i installed the V48 on the R1200 and no problems with the rear cam till now, going to do it on the K1600 (to have a second opinion π€) when it comes back from the dealership.
Good to see.
If still happen, You also can download the last V57, the update fixed this bug.
Going back to the V48 the problems were solved , gradually dated up to the V57 and behold, no more issues except the front tire pressure monitor going bezerk on the R1200GSA, no big issue for me but something what should be solved in the long run.
Imho still a good product, going to buy a third system for my track-bike.
Keep up the good work.
I'm on v57 and had similar issues with TPMS on my GSA, I might try the various oder firmwares to see if they affect it
You also can try the last version of Firmware, that helps to fix this issue.
