Several more rides in. GPS reception is fixed.I can only suggest that OP relocate the GPS antenna, if possible. It seems to be overly sensitive to ANY object blocking its view, even if the object should be RF transparent (like a plastic windshield). Best if it's totally unobstructed all the way around.
I am also struggling with this.I get no GPS logging for the first 15 minutes or so of a ride, sometimes not until 25 minutes in.
I will also have GPS drop out for a few minutes in a row, then come back.
I have seen this behavior with a few different firmware versions, including 0.57, 0.61, and 0.70. It has happened with two completely different K2 systems.
It makes no sense. I have my GPS antenna mounted horizontally, with a clear view of the sky, as prescribed.I moved the antenna anyway, to the top of my top case. We'll see if that fixes it.
Sometimes you get weird RF coupling stuff happening, even with what should be a perfectly good antenna location.
There was at least one person on this forum who had his GPS antenna right next to the DVR, under the seat, but apparently no GPS problems. It's weird.

Your GPS antenna is well placed, horizontal and clear view.
It is also possible that the GPS connector is making a bad connection.
The connectors with the plastic rings are prone to bad connections.
Mainly because your K2 lost GPS reception while recording.
The GPS antenna needs a clear view to the sky and needs to be mounted as horizontally as possible to get a reliable receiption.
