Hello all. I was convinced that this is the best camera system for my bike. After having purchased it, I'm wondering if I got myself in over my head. There seems to be conflicting information on how to update the firmware and several have commented on how the manufacturer's site does not offer the software updates.
As far as I can tell, I need to put a memory card in the unit. I have a 64G card that was used prior in a GoPro Hero 8. Its the same size, but it is not new. Does this matter? Does the card have to be new?
Once I put the card in DVR, the DVR will format the card and then I take and put it into some kind of a reader on my computer. Neither my laptop, nor my PC have a reader for those. My guess is that I have to buy a reader now? Any suggestions on which one I buy?
Thank you for any help.
***UPDATE - thank you for checking on this thread, i found some more info that I think might help me here: https://www.innovv.com/innovv-k2-support, i'm trying
Hi
It will work.
You just have to format it using the app and it will work fine.
For readers there is a lot of them out there. Not sure which is the best.
You dont need a reader, theres a usb adapter in the K2 box, just use that.
Ty... I’m starting to see that they have thought of everything. I just found the little adapter.
Inside the K2 box, you'll see a card reader in the shape of a T-shirt that you can use to view videos on your computer or laptop.
The firmware upgrade needs to use an SD card with the format of FAT32.
If your SD card is more than 32GB, you need to put it into the DVR by connecting to the APP and set the format as FAT32.
I have a 256G card on the way, could I have chosen a bigger one? or is 256 the max
Theoretically, CARDS larger than 256G can be used, but I generally recommend guests to use a 64G or 128G card, which is a better choice.
@innovv thank you, have you had issues with larger cards not working? This is the card that I picked.

@Lance Mark
Some users reported, that they got problems with the V57 firmware when using a 256GB card. But I did not read about problems with later firmwares.
