Hi, so I've had the K2 installed on my R1200GS for a few weeks now and have assumed everything was working fine but I downloaded the videos to review a recent near-miss so that I could take some learning from it and, well, Houston, we have a problem. I've viewed the video back on my pc (I removed the SD card and downloaded all the video files) and the near-miss isn't there. I've worked out that between each file there is between 8 & 10 seconds of video missing - which doesn't sound a lot but of course we all know that a lot can happen in that time, especially during an overtake. Here is an example of the last frame of one video and the first of the next:

So, that isn't good, is it.
Here are the key settings from the app:

So, you'll notice that my loop video is set to 10 mins, but then look at the video durations of the downloaded files:

There're all over the place, so, what's going on there? Is it the SD Card? It shouldn't be because I've bought the one specified to work (from My Memory so it isn't a knock-off):

The one important clue is that the SD card failed to recognise/format in the K2 the first few times so I formatted it to FAT32 with a formatting programme on my pc and then it worked.
Can anyone suggest the problem? I need a high capacity card as I go on long rides and don't want it over-writing. Cheers.
Ok, so I reckon it was the SD Card. Even though it's the recommended one the fact that it didn't format itself in the K2 means it didn't work properly. The replacement SanDisk 128Gb U1 card has worked fine today. All as it should be. Thanks for your support.
So, the U1 card (tested with SpeedOutput v0.5) shows: read 80MB/s and write 55MB/s; the U3 card used above is showing: read 80MB/s and write 17MB/s. So, whilst in theory it should be fine, that isn't good. I'll run the h2testw one in a mo and see what it comes back with.
Edit: Correction, I've got two smaller cards - a 64GB one that's a U3 r/w=86/64MB/s, the other one is a U1 but still shows 80/55MB/s. Anyhow, I'll see how the U1 goes (it formatted fine straight off when put in).
Thanks both - will try these. On the SD side of things I'd got obsessed that it should be a U3 card, as that's recommended, but given the write speed needed (even with the fantastic-should-be stock increased 20Mb/s bitrate video) is only about 5MB/s, I'll also try my 128GB U1 card.

To make sure it is not the sd card, I would suggest to check it using a tool like h2testw. The Download page is in german, but the tool can be switched to english. The tool will write to and then read from every memory cell of the sd card to see if there are any errors. Be patient, as the test will take some more time.
Is there a possibility that the unit is vibrating. When I fitted mine I Velcro’d the unit down under the seat to a flat surface, but only part of the unit. Since then I have increased the Velcro to cover the whole base unit side as I believe it was vibrating. The other issue is that once up and running the front camera controls the power so ensure the lead to front camera is in fully and thumb screw is really tight.
