Usually, K2 will turn off automatically after the bike off for 25 secs. If your K2 still flashes after 25 secs, please kindly check if the red light status of the DVR.
I have a possibly similar problem with my K2 set up on a 2020 Can Am Spyder RT Ltd ie. on shut down, the dvr fails to turn off but goes into a parking type mode with green video, red camera and orange gps lights all flashing at different intervals (I am calling this "fault mode" for the sake of this post).
In conjunction with Steve Welham at Innovv UK, whose help has been excellent, I conducted various tests which are listed below for info. Unfortunately, the problem still persists and the dvr unit complete with cameras, gps module, and power converter are now removed from the bike for return to Innovv UK where Steve is to delve / investigate further.
Note - a prerequisite to all tests are that the dvr firmware is up to date, the correct type of sd card is used, and (my opinion only) the sd card has been reformatted. Also, ensure (!) parking mode is not turned on in the app.
In my case, I had also replaced the Innovv power converter with a new one which made no difference!
Tests carried out:-
Test 1. Rear camera only fitted into dvr port marked front.
Result - Unit still faults on shutdown.
Test 2 Front camera only fitted into dvr port marked front.
Result - Unit still faults on shutdown.
Test 3 SD card removed and Tests 1 and 2 carried out again.
Result - Unit still faults on shutdown.
Test 4 With all cameras connected back up etc, the yellow trigger wire was disconnected from the bike source and manually placed on the +ve battery terminal, simulating ignition on.
Result - Unit still faults on shutdown.
Test 5 With all cameras connected etc, the dvr was powered up from the usb port via appropriate ub cable and mains usb adaptor.
Result - Unit shut down correctly!
Test 6 With the unit shut down and in fault mode, I inserted an unpowered usb cable into the dvr usb port, the cable however being plugged in to an unpowered adapter in a mains socket (earth and -ve continuity established?)
Thank you for your sharing here. Hope this would be fixed soon with the professional and prompt support from our colleague, Steve. May you have any other question, please feel free to contact us.
That sound all really strange. It might help to see what the K2 is logging.
For this, there is a older beta firmware, which enables a logging feature. Means that the K2 will write its normal console log and some dump files to the sd card.
This log may help to see, in what mode the K2 is switching or if there are any error messages.
You can find this firmware (K2-V71_with-Logging.bin) in my dropbox.
If the K2 is on, and you disconnect the yellow wire. Does the K2 switch off?
Does the connection where you connected the yellow wire become 0 volts after switching off the bike?
In my case (BMW) it takes more than a minute before the voltage drops after shutting othe bike off, then another 20 seconds before the K2 turns off.

Something of a head scratcher?
