My K2 worked fine until about 9 months ago. However, now the DVR switches on with the bike’s ignition, runs through its start up checks (all the lights flash on and off for a few seconds) but then shuts down. The power supply blue led light is on ands stays on throughout. The switched live wire is connected to the live supply to the rear brake light switch; I‘ve checked that the circuit is permanently live. The bike is a 40+ year old Suzuki GS1000 with conventional electrics (ie not CAN-BUS). Nothing has changed in the way the K2 is installed now compared with when it did work previously.
Can anyone tell me what’s wrong?
Update: all sorted now. I rebooted the accessory channel by switching its output off and back on using the Hex Accessory Manager software. And now the K2 is working again. . I think that there was a problem with the output from the signal wire from the Ezcan accessory channel, which the reboot fixed somehow.
To exclude the converter, the K2 has had some problem converters, can you connect the K2 to a good power bank via the USB connection?
And have you also measured the voltage on the yellow wire, how many volts is this? To rule out problems with the connection of the yellow wire, you can also connect it to the red wire. The K2 will then have to start up and basically stay on until you disconnect the yellow wire from the red wire.
