I notice the sound on my videos are rather horrid. To be fair the K2 has a tiny microphone on the DVR (which is placed under the rear seat). Is this universal or are there tips to improve sound quality? To my ears it sounds like the unit is always trying to optimize sound levels...which are in constant flux.

Dear INNOVV, could you tell us please what type or even model of microphone is used in K2? I guess that will be not to complicated for me to make it external.
¿se puede conseguir el micrófono del k5 para instalarlo en el k2, o no es compatible?
I have the same problem. Sounds like I am underwater. Mounted under seat. Any way to stop it? Foam over DVR?
FWIW, I do not have my DVR under the seat. It is mounted inside the fairing, near the forks. Sound is pretty much useless, unfortunately. All I get is a lot of engine and wind noise, with constantly-varying volume. There is often a strange "underwater" effect, even though I can guarantee there is no water in the mic. It's so irritating that I simply turned off audio recording. I do have the "new" style DVR with the mic hole. I have the hole facing downward, so that if I ride in rain it's unlikely to get water inside the DVR. I'm not complaining. I never expected good sound recording, and wouldn't find it useful anyway. The only sounds I could realistically capture are engine noise, tire noise, and wind. The main reason I have the K2 is to record video evidence of others' negligent driving. It works well for that without audio.
Since many riders reported that the DVR didn't work well under the seat, we made a mic hole in subsequent versions to make the sound more pronounced.
We also recommend that you move the DVR out of the seat and into another location to improve sound quality.
My K2 audio is terrible too...much worse than the BikerCam I had before the K2. But IMHO the pros of the K2 outweigh the cons, so I try and ignore the terrible sound quality now. Hopefully INNOVV will correct in a future build.
