This is a new installation and after installing the latest firmware from the drop box link my unit seems to power on for 10-20 seconds and then powers off.
I can press the silver button again and get it to turn on for another 10-20 seconds but then it simply goes dark again.
Further troubleshooting has me seeing the power supply having a fait blue pulsing light even with the trigger wire disconnected. At This point I'm suspecting I have a bad 12v to 5v converter.
It appears the micro USB cable I was using did not have enough capacity to keep the K2 powered up. Once I used a new micro USB cable, the K2 powered perfectly. Thanks for all your assistance everybody.
Thanks, but I'm not convinced it's the power supply. It is displaying exactly the same fault when I plug it into either a computer or a power pack (high capacity), bypassing the power supply.
It’s most likely a faulty power supply. Contact whoever you bought it from for a power supply warranty replacement
I have changed to a 32GB SD card (PC formatted). The unit performs the same when I only use the front camera
I have disconnected both cameras and the GPS module (to reduce the power load). I'm also running the K2 from a 11000mAh battery pack. I've downloaded the BIN file onto the memory card. Still no luck
K2 not powering up properly. Keeps shutting down.
I set the K2 up with a 12 volt battery. Blue light on DC to DC converter comes on as normal. Lights on K2 come on and then goes off. Keeps repeating itself. I then disconnected the DC to DC converter and plugged in the micro USB connector. Same thing.
Glad to hear that! I had an incident while riding recently. Since my K2 has been working reliably, I have video that helped me figure out what happened, & who was responsible for the damage to my bike. I might even get compensated for the damage (TBD).
I had the same problem (DVR being shut down randomly). It seems completely cured with the newest power converter design. Been riding with it for about a month, zero random power-offs. I think the earlier power converter design did not deal with heat very well.
Thanks guys I'll consider both suggestions!!
Hello
I'm having problems with my innovv k2 staying on while riding. I have the latest firmware installed and has also deleted the app and installed it again. I have also formatted to fat32 with no problems. I can ride for about 40 minutes and then I first loose wifi. I select camera while riding the camera comes back. Then the dvr goes off. The only way it will start again if I go to the dvr which is located in my rear saddle bag (2018 Honda Goldwing) press the power button to start it and it will turn on. I can continue to ride and then it powers down again. I've had the K2 for 1 year. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
I received the replacement power supply from OCD Tronic and installed it. The system is now working as it should.
If you see a glowing blue LED on the power supply, that's the updated new one. Also make sure you're on the latest firmware version 0.67
https://www.innovv.com/k2-firmware If you have parking mode turned on, turn it off for your next test.
I have the same issue. I have contacted OCD Tronic and they have sent a new power supply. My unit worked fine for a a couple of weeks then started shutting off after 6 to 10 seconds. I hope the new power supply fixes the issue.
I am having a similar issue, after working fine for more than a year, my DVR only stays on when the ignition is off. When I turn the bike on the DVR shuts down like yours does.
@CountRushMore just received your support email inquiry, will get back to you soon after consulting with the factory first on the video you posted. (to confirm a new power supply is best next step)
No. That's the official contact address. You could try contacting your dealer. Maybe he is willing to send you a replacement.
So your K2 runs fine when powered by USB, but shuts down after around 13 sec when powered by the power module? That really sounds as the power module is faulty.
Just to make sure, please try connecting the red and yellow cable to the batterie and see, if the K2 powers up and stays on.
If yes, I would guess there is something wrong with the switched power you connected the yellow cable to.
If not (still powers down automatically), I would guess the power module is faulty.
I've flashed to V.057 and I'm seeing the same thing.
Here is a video of the bootup and shutdown.

If you power module would be faulty, you would not be able to install a firmware.
I suspect the K2 is starting in parking mode for some reasons. If I am correct, you should see some short video clips on your sd card, stored in the parking folder. Please check this.
I experienced a behaviour like this on my spare K2 if ground of the USB port is connected to my PC. So please check if something is connected to the USB port or if the housing of the USB port touches the frame.
If all this is ok, you can try to re-flash the latest firmware using a FAT32 formatted sd card. If this does not help, please try to flash an older firmware (V.057).
As Innovv does not provide older firmwares on their webpage, you can use my dropbox to get them.
