Good morning all,
Following a post on `` Front + rear video playback problem on the same file '' Frostie directed me to the DASCHCOM VIEWER software, which is impeccable for playing the 2 videos as well as for the cartographic tracking, thanks again to him and Hans too!
1st question
In the free version, you can only put 2 videos at most, but in its paid version, is it possible to link several videos into one video with the front and the back, for better overall tracking of the map during long hikes, and can it be saved as a single file on the PC?
2nd question
How to make the second video in the upper left corner of the screen bigger a bit more (in Frostie's example it's much bigger), because I used the magnify symbol, but it only works very little ...
3rd and last question ;-)
I spent time concealing the 2 cameras for more than discreet use on the road, with a false cover in the license plate holder and the turn signals.
But I also ride on the track, which forces me to remove the rear support, and suddenly it's too complicated to systematically reassemble the camera for reinstallation in track use.
I asked the supplier who sold me the K2 if it was possible to buy just one, but he replied that it was not possible.
If anyone has any news on this, I don't mind ...
thank you in advance
Eric
Hello Frostie,
Great, thank you very much for this feedback and for sharing it with INNOVV and their response, it's good news to be able to buy individually ;-)
Hello Hans,
Thanks a lot for the magnification of the image, I am on a laptop and it is not possible so I will try to plug in a mouse
Thank you for this suggestion for the Dashcam Viewer software documentation, here is my address: idefid01@hotmail.fr
Best regards
1st question: I have no experience with this. So I can not give you a good answer. If you give me your email address via a private message, I can send you the Dashcamviewer manual. Perhaps this guide can help you with your questions. 2nd question: To make an image bigger or smaller.
Click on the relevant video image and turn the scroll button on your mouse.
This is how it works with my Windows 10 PC.
Hello Frostie,
Yes indeed, sorry I reversed with Hans ... but thank you for taking the time to answer me !
Ok it's noted thank you for the Kdenlive site, which can't take GPS points, if we merge videos.
For my third question, sorry if I misspoke, but it's only for the purchase of a third camera that my salesman can't provide me, because as I explained, it's difficult to remove the original rear camera that I hid in the rear light support, support that I systematically disassemble to ride on the track.
So if someone had a solution for me to buy the camera alone, that I could mount only for the track.
Best regards
Eric
Hi Eric,
is wasn't me, who directed you to dashcamviewer, but Hans. I use kdenlive to arrange the videos. But kdenlive is not able to read the GPS data, as it is "only" a video editor.

There is something in the FAQ of dashcamviewer about this point
5. When I use Dashcam Viewer to export a video clip from my dual-channel dashcam, how come I don’t get a picture-in-picture video as a result?
Dashcam Viewer ships with the LGPL version of FFmpeg. The LGPL version will only export the front channel to your videoclip when you choose the Export Video option. The solution is to replace the LGPL version of FFmpeg with the GPL version off the internet. You can download the Mac GPL ffmpeg here and the Windows GPL ffmpeg here.

I don't know. Maybe @Hans can give you a hint.

I'm not sure if I get what you mean. If you want to know whether it is possible to run the K2 with only the front cam connected, the answer is "yes".
If I got you wrong, maybe you can explain more detailed what you mean.
