Just down loaded the latest ios app (26.09.19) and can confirm it recognises the Innovv wifi. So the app now appears to work as expected. Will update to latest firmware, as a message says to do so, and hopefully successfully report back.

As another data point and to perhaps add some more clarity to the firmware update process, I'm providing results of my latest upgrade, which was from v0.57 to v0.61. As others have observed, if you put a 64 GB microSD card formatted with exFat in the DVR, it will boot, but won't recognize the K2.bin file so won't upgrade. I didn't have any cards smaller than 64 GB, so my experience limited to that.
I started by verifying system was fully operational and running v0.57. I then inserted a 64 GB card (formatted with FAT32 using EaseUS Partition Master) that had the LD96663A.bin file and rebooted. I noted the red light flashed twice and then DVR rebooted. I shut down the DVR and replaced the SD card with another 64 GB card formatted with exFAT with the K2.bin file for v0.61 and rebooted. The firmware upgrade completed successfully.
NOTE: The 64 GB card with the K2.bin file had a 16 MB unallocated block at the beginning when observed in Partition Master.
A couple of new observations with v0.61:
1. If I try and load a FAT32-formatted card, I get an SD card error when I try and log in to the DVR and can go no further. When I load a exFAT-formatted card into the DVR and reboot, I get a popup indicating:
SD Card Format Error
SD card has error or wrong format,
needs to be formatted. Press OK to format it
and be aware that all files in SD card will...
You then either select Cancel of Yes (not OK) to format the card and proceed into the app after the card is formatted and DVR reboots. I verified this using two separate SD cards, one 64 GB and the other 256 GB, formatted with exFAT using a Windows 10 Explorer format command.
After I formatted a card in the DVR with the app, I looked at the file structure in Partition Master and noted that it was now one continuous block formatted in FAT32 (no 16 MB unallocated block).
2. After v0.61 upgrade, camera settings defaulted to:
Loop Video: 1 Minute
Frequency: 50 Hz
G-Sensor: OFF
Speed: KPH
Parking Mode: Disabled
So you may need to adjust these settings after upgrade
3. When you open the Video or Photo folders in the app, you can then choose whether app displays Front, Rear, or All videos or photos. (This feature may have been in a previous build, but I just noticed it).
4. If Parking Mode is enabled, you will see a green P with little motorcycle at the top of live video or photo. This alert disappears if Parking mode is disabled.
5. When selecting Documents folder in the app, you will be prompted to select either the:
Continuous Recordings
Incident Recordings, or
Parking Recordings
There may very well be some other new features, but these are what I spotted.
@innovv
I took a look at the "guidance file" and it is indeed an updated bootloader.
Tested it on my spare K2 and since then the bootloader supports ExFat.
I wonder why you did not post this updated bootloader long before? Many customers had issues flashing the firmware after they formatted their card using V0.52 or V0.57. And this bootloader solves this issue.
Further to the above;
I have noticed that, in contrast to one of your instructional videos, on start up the red camera (not green video) icon only flashes once very briefly and then never again during this process.
I've powered on the DVR via the ignition and Powerhub2 and
I've separately powered on the DVR using the button on the face of the DVR
Each time I've done this I had previously formatted the card in the DVR via the iOS app
Cannot update firmware to v.K2.20190823.V0.61 from previous (K2.20190614.V0.57). Have formatted in device and loaded bin file into root of card. Done this process 3 times. Device does seem to working though with the mismatch of firmware/software.
