I’d been thinking about putting a camera on my motorcycle since I bought it last year. This was the clear choice. I bought the system from Harbor Town Harley Davidson in WI. Great service. I had to remove the bags, the side covers, the fuel tank and the fairing. All done per the maintenance manual. I unclipped the ECM which is in place in this picture and moved it aside when I placed the power module. In the back of the battery is a metal plate with a three holes. I placed a small piece of 2 sided tape and tucked the power module under this plate. I ran the yellow wire to the the left side of the bike and T tapped into the power wire on the accessory connector. I ran the leads to the battery around the sides of the under seat area. I pulled the connector to the DVR up through the metal plate. Another user suggested installing the camera in front on the the left to better film oncoming traffic. I ran the front camera and the GPS up through the main electrical housing under the gas tank. I did not grab photos of the location and install of the GPS which is why I pulled the front fairing cover. I found a large metal plate to the right of the Boom amp and head unit and placed it there. I tied it in with the wire from the front camera and brought them both under the tank and over to the DVR on the right side of the bike. I mounted the front camera on the lower mounting bolt of the left turn signal bracket. I put the rear camera on the right side and ran the line up alongside the speaker wires. There was a washer on the rear mounting peg of the four point docking hardware that was the same thickness as a spacer so I removed it and mounted the camera on the rear of the peg. I installed the DVR on the right side of the ABS module under the right cover for easy access. Here are a few more pics of the bike put together. It works great and I’m having a lot of fun learning to use it.
