Can you please post file hashes for the firmware *.bin files?
I've had problems getting the 0.64 firmware to install and I think I may have gotten a corrupted download. It would be easier to tell if I knew what the SHA-256 hash of the file is supposed to be, however.
Thanks, it seems there is something wrong with my home Internet connection.
I downloaded the firmware 4 different times and got 4 different hashes, because the download was silently terminating after only about 240 kb. No idea why.
Ended up downloading through my phone's mobile data connection, got complete file, successfully installed just now.
Hi there, ive downloaded the new 0.64 firmware, so im ready to load it onto my K2, but ive got an issue, i have previously loaded the test firmware which has the WIFI turned off, so i dont have any way of using the app to format the SD card before i can put the new firmware on. Can i format the SD card on my computer first? and what format shall i use? I am using am Apple Mac by the way.
You can right-click and go to the SD card properties to change the format of the SD card, or you can use an SD card under 32GB to update the new firmware.
yes you can format the sd on your mac. Format as FAT and name VOLUME1. Put only the k2.bin file on the sd ande put this in the device. Than it wil start the fw update. When finish shut down the dvr and replace the sd without the k2.bin file (else it will always try to do the update again) on it with the same format specs.
than start up and ready to go. If you want to be shure, you can format again with the app, not necessary But you’ll be very sure than ;-)
Nice one, that seems to have done the trick. I didnt name it VOLUME1 though, just left it as is. And the new version is up and running, set the wifi to 5 mins.
First you need to update the firmware with an SD card in the format FAT32.
Maybe your format is exFAT, and then you cannot use the computer to convert to FAT32. You can put the exFAT card into the DVR, and then connect the APP with your phone. In the Settings, you can change the format to FAT32.
Where did you format the sd card? On your iMac or on the K2 using the App? If the latter one, what firmware version is installed on your K2? And what MacOS version is installed on your iMac?
Yeah I dunno what's up with Dropbox. I can't download any of the firmware files through the Web version, directly from Innovv's (or Frostie's) Dropbox. The download always terminates after like 200 kB. Doesn't matter what browser I'm using.
I have to save the file to my personal Dropbox, then download it from there. Weird.
If you are already registered as a DropBox user, the chances of this happening should be low.
You can try a different browser or see if the download limit is set.
@innovv I tried again in Chrome (I normally use Firefox) and the download worked. Didn't even have to be signed into Dropbox. So I guess Dropbox doesn't like Firefox. Thanks!
Is it not possible to make a clear overview of the firmware versions under the menu "support - Innovv K2 support"?
Now I always have to look somewhere in this forum to see if there is a new version and what the differences are compared to the previous version.
I saw a PDF document somewhere, but that has not been updated since version V0.61.
If you as developers have a new firmware version available, are you proud of it? And then you want to make this known quickly and well?
You want the users to be able to use the latest firmware, make sure it is easy to find.
Even if I want to download the firmware I only see K2.bin. I cannot deduce from this whether the firmware to be downloaded is also the latest version. I have to install this version before I can see if it is the latest version.
To start the test properly, I formatted the SD card in the K2 using the app before I started testing.
Various tests done with the timer for the WiFi.
With the 5-minute setting as well as the 10-minute setting, the GPS reception switches off after 5 or 10 minutes. The problem still persists with multiple tests I have done.
For the wifi timer I can only choose between 5 minutes, 10 minutes or never.
I have no option for 3 minutes.
GPS registration will not return until the camera has been restarted.
Today the sky was clear and the GPS receiver had a clear view of satellites.
This problem occurs to me with firmware version K2.20200316.V0.67
Okay, I'll test this too, see if it happens to me.
Normally I've kept WiFi always-on as a simple indicator of whether the K2 was working. I needed that because I had a lot of problems with the power supply not working correctly. But the system has been very reliable the last few months, so I was thinking of having WiFi turn off after the first few minutes of a ride.
Here is a PDF format.
We will continue to update the firmware or APP content in this post.
Ah. Great. Thanks.
Great, really helps to understand what each upgrade offers before taking the plunge
Terrific!
New update.
This is the latest version which we are using.
New update.
K2 - V0.64
New "turn off WiFi" feature, WiFi can be set to turn off after 5 minutes.
The video format is either MP4 or TS.

FAT32 format is a better choice.

Not sure if I'm being thick, but I'm unable to open files on K2 micro card to install the K2 firmware update using my iMac am I missing something ?
Do you get any error messages when trying to open files on the sd card?
Something like format unknown message

K2 - V0.67
1. Repair the problem that may cause the machine to fail to start after starting the parking mode.
2. Fixed the problem with playback video with no track.
Hi, I am new to Dropbox but cant seem to get the download, says the file doesnt exist, is it me ?
@Klick Are you saying that you cannot find the firmware of K2 to download?
Then you can try to download it directly by clicking on the website.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/l43n6ck5r499qt1/K2.bin?dl=0
@innovv Thanks, that link worked perfectly

Thanks for your sincere suggestion, we will give a complete explanation of each version of firmware.
If you are not using the latest firmware, but once we release the new firmware, you will receive a popover of firmware updates when you enter the APP.
You can decide whether to update the firmware or not depending on your situation.
With the latest firmware version V0.67 I have found the following problem.
If I set the WiFi time-out to 10 minutes, not only does the WiFi turn off after 10 minutes, but the GPS reception also drops out after 10 minutes.
Tested several times, the same result every time.
Is this a known issue, or am I the only one who has identified it?
At present, we have only received feedback from you on this issue.
Have you ever tried setting the time to 3 minutes or 5 minutes? Will the GPS signal also disappear?
I haven't tried other times yet.
Will test this soon and give feedback.
Ridden several tests today.
To start the test properly, I formatted the SD card in the K2 using the app before I started testing.

Tested today with the latest firmware version K2.20200407.V0.67.
GPS registration is still lost when the WiFi is turned off by the WiFi timer.

Now this link will solve the problem of GPS signal loss.
