Now you can see exactly what has been updated for all K2 firmware versions.
After some test rides I'm happy to report that the newest firmware (10 Apr 2020 v0.67) does in fact fix the "GPS turns off when WiFi does" bug.
Also, like the new firmware page. Dropbox downloads started working for me again last week, but the new page is better, what with the notes on the different versions.
@innovv This is a good adaptation to the site.
The latest firmware version is now also easy to find.
Now we can see what the changes are compared to the previous firmware versions.
@innovv That new site worked, thanks!
I just finished my install, but when I try to download the latest firmware, Drop box is telling me the file can't be found. Any ideas?
@Frostie Hi Frostie, we made another website for the firmware.
If you have a better suggestion, please let me know.
That looks good. And, more important, seems to work.
@Frostie Thank you.
So we're going to keep updating it in this format.
If there is a better way, we will make changes in time :)
Okay, I'll try the new v0.67. If I read that right it's an April 10, 2020 build date.
It would be a good idea to officially release this bugfix as v0.68 or something like that. Just so people don't get confused.
I have indeed extensively tested the latest firmware version.
Various tests done with different timer settings for the wifi.
No more problems noted.
The firmware version I tested is K2.0200410.V0.67
There are several V.067 versions, but it is the 410 version
> No more problems noted.
When you say "no more problems" do you refer to the GPS issue (lack of signal) or the TPMS is working fine?
Thanks in advance for the clarification!
Hi, I mean that I do not have a loss of GPS reception after automatic shutdown (5 or 10 minutes setting in the app) of the WiFi.
I never encountered problems with TPMS on my BMW K1600GT. So have no further experience with that.
thank you very much for the clarification, @Hans
My front TPMS stopped working, or works intermittently after the installation of the K2.
Update: problems with the 10-minute shutoff setting.
With WiFi set to turn off after 10 minutes, there were no position updates after almost exactly 10 minutes of recording start.
I rode almost 2 hours total, and the video from the whole trip is fine. There just aren't any position updates after that 10 minute mark, near the end of the third video clip (since I am doing 3-minute clips).
I turned WiFi back to "always on" and rode for about an hour yesterday. Complete GPS position updates for the whole ride.
I guess there really is a bug relating to the WiFi not-always-on feature.
We have received feedback from customers about this problem before -- the GPS signal also disappeared after the WiFi was turned off.
However, the latest K2 firmware has solved this problem.
This customer has been tested after installation, and there is no such problem again.
If you have updated the latest version, I think you may need to check the GPS position again or whether the positioning function is enabled.
Rode almost 2 hours yesterday with WiFi set to turn off after 5 minutes.
Removed card and viewed videos afterwards. No problems, no lack of GPS position.
Okay, I'll test this too, see if it happens to me.
Normally I've kept WiFi always-on as a simple indicator of whether the K2 was working. I needed that because I had a lot of problems with the power supply not working correctly. But the system has been very reliable the last few months, so I was thinking of having WiFi turn off after the first few minutes of a ride.
I haven't tried other times yet.
Will test this soon and give feedback.
Now this link will solve the problem of GPS signal loss.
Does this version have a new firmware identifier, or is it just posted for testing purposes?
@HarleyFool This firmware still has a bug fix based on V0.67, so the version number is still V0.67 :)
With the latest firmware version V0.67 I have found the following problem.
If I set the WiFi time-out to 10 minutes, not only does the WiFi turn off after 10 minutes, but the GPS reception also drops out after 10 minutes.
Tested several times, the same result every time.
Is this a known issue, or am I the only one who has identified it?
At present, we have only received feedback from you on this issue.
Have you ever tried setting the time to 3 minutes or 5 minutes? Will the GPS signal also disappear?
Is it not possible to make a clear overview of the firmware versions under the menu "support - Innovv K2 support"?
Now I always have to look somewhere in this forum to see if there is a new version and what the differences are compared to the previous version.
I saw a PDF document somewhere, but that has not been updated since version V0.61.
If you as developers have a new firmware version available, are you proud of it? And then you want to make this known quickly and well?
You want the users to be able to use the latest firmware, make sure it is easy to find.
Even if I want to download the firmware I only see K2.bin. I cannot deduce from this whether the firmware to be downloaded is also the latest version. I have to install this version before I can see if it is the latest version.
Thanks for your sincere suggestion, we will give a complete explanation of each version of firmware.
If you are not using the latest firmware, but once we release the new firmware, you will receive a popover of firmware updates when you enter the APP.
You can decide whether to update the firmware or not depending on your situation.
Yeah I dunno what's up with Dropbox. I can't download any of the firmware files through the Web version, directly from Innovv's (or Frostie's) Dropbox. The download always terminates after like 200 kB. Doesn't matter what browser I'm using.
I have to save the file to my personal Dropbox, then download it from there. Weird.
If you are already registered as a DropBox user, the chances of this happening should be low.
You can try a different browser or see if the download limit is set.
@innovv I tried again in Chrome (I normally use Firefox) and the download worked. Didn't even have to be signed into Dropbox. So I guess Dropbox doesn't like Firefox. Thanks!
K2 - V0.67
1. Repair the problem that may cause the machine to fail to start after starting the parking mode.
2. Fixed the problem with playback video with no track.
Hi, I am new to Dropbox but cant seem to get the download, says the file doesnt exist, is it me ?
