Good day,
I have some questions regarding INNOVV K2 unit. I am owning one for more than a year.
a.) I was wondering if someone already removed the rear backplate cover? How does it look like? Is there like a CMOS Battery in it? Was wondering if INNOVV K2 has a storage battery inside the DVR because of that 10 second delay before turning off.
b.) I did add some minor accessory on my motorcycle, I am not sure if it affected by INNOVV Camera in any way. I did install the phone charger directly at the battery. However, it seems that when I shut off my bike, the camera doesn't turn off automatically unlike before.
c.) I did try connect to INNOVV wifi and I notice some flickers at the video capture. After some few minutes when I try accessing the cameras using my phone it prompts that I should reinstall the cameras.
d.) I observed that, the DVR starts fine. However when I go ride for like 10 minutes, as I check the files it doesn't record anything. It only shows that Purple thing on the preview of some few record files then the files stored is not updated to the most recent recording. Somehow it seems hanging up.
e.) Another thing is, I am from the Philippines, would it be possible to send my unit to INNOVV office to have it repaired?
a)
The back of the K2 looks like this. There is a battery, but it is only to power the RTC and has nothing to do with the start behaviour. The start and stop delay is only managed by the power module, which tells the DVR when to start and stop.
b)
To let the DVR start and stop with the igntion, the yellow cable needs to be connected to switched power. Or in other words: If you connect the yellow cable to a 12V power source, the DVR will start. If you disconnect it, the DVR will shut down.
c)
No idea
d) Seems that the camera is faulty. Maybe due to moisture. You could check this by switching the camers and see if the error follows. But to fix this, you need Innovv.
Hello,
1) Are you talking about the button batteries on the PCB? The battery was designed to maintain video time accuracy and had nothing to do with the shutdown delay.
The shutdown delay is caused by the converter's protection mechanism.
2)This can have an impact. How are you connected?
The yellow line needs to be connected to the ACC, and the battery charger should not be connected to the K2.
3) The reason the DVR doesn't recognize the camera is because there's a problem with the Lens.
You have already sent the mail to our company mailbox, we also have the staff to reply to you.
Regarding the Lens, you can send it back to us for repair (your K2 is available on the website) and then we will decide whether or not to exchange the lens according to your warranty period.
