Ok folks, been scouring the intrawebs, youtube and this forum and getting different answers etc, etc, etc....
I have a 2016 BMW R1200RT
I have a Hexezcan Gen 2 installed
I have purchased the Innovv K2 camera system, it has the "new" power module with the magical blue led light on it.
I would like to power the K2 directly from the Hexezcan Gen 2 instead of wiring the power from the battery because of battery drain issues. I dont need/want the "parking" mode thing where it will turn on while parked or something like that.
However, some have posted you can not power the K2 from the hex ezcan but no one can say WHY?
Isn't that one of the designs of the ezcan is to supply power (Aux lights/horns/brake lights etc...).
I did read one forum posting about at startup the K2 has a very very very brief power amp spike of 5-29 amps or something but its so short it doesn't blow the inline fuse but will trip an electronic breaker in the hexezcan, however this may be resolved with the new k2 power converter with the magical blue led light, but I just don't understand why the K2 MUST be wired direct to the battery and not a canbus controller.
I would like to avoid putting the least amount of items direct to the battery as possible to avoid any issues.
Any thoughts, comments would be GREATLY appreciated.
