Hi Innovv, can you make these firmware changes?
add option for running innovv for some hours (0 till 5) after ignition is off (no 12V on yellow wire)
add option for if ignition is off, do not start recording videos
reasons:
1. when I put my bike in garage, I want to look on my videos from home comfort. I will put in my garage wifi router in station mode connected to innovv K2 and download videos to computer with no need put out sd card (which is annoying)
2. after browsing video with android application, innov K2 starts recording video. This will make problem with option 1. and I do not need 5 hours of video from my garage :)
And third thing: please change wifi transmitting mode to 40MHz channel
Thank you
I guess that Innovv will not make the changes you requested, as they are too special. Anyway, for what you want to do, I would try a different solution.
Simply use a Raspi, which you connect to the USB port of the K2. It can power the K2 and can mount the K2 as an usb device. After that, you can connect to the Raspi by whatever you want and view/download/delete the videos.
Pros:
Raspi Wifi is much faster then K2 wifi.
You can shutdown the Raspi remotely, which will power off the K2, too
K2 will not start recording while connected to the Raspi, as it starts in mass storage mode.
You get full access to sd card, which also allows to delete the protected folders.
Cons
Nothing. Except you need a Raspberry.
Edit
I had to correct myself. I did not test usb transfer in the firmwares later than V0.61 (where it did not work), as there were nothing about it in the release notes. So I just checked usb transfer in V0.70...and to my surprise, it works. That's why I edited the Cons above.
Hello,
If the yellow wire is on ACC, if the ignition is off, K2 will not record. If the yellow line and the red line are connected together, they will work all the time.
Currently, K2 can only connect and watch with APP. If you want to download the video via INNOVV K2's WiFi connection via your laptop, you need to download the APP on the PC side. We will consider your suggestion to make it easy to watch the video.
50 and 60 Hz are chosen because of the backlight situation, and we will be working on a variety of frequency options.
Thanks again for your nice advice.
