Hi all,
I hope someone can impart some wisdom on me. I installed my Innovv K2 over a month ago and there is one thing that is driving me up the wall.
When I watch my ride on my phone (wifi connected to Innovv) I can see my progress on the map (assuming GPS is working OK) but when I watch the same video on my computer using Dashcam viewer it has no map and seems to have no GPS information for my ride. Can you recommend another program to use or if you've had the same problem tell me how you resolved it, please?
Thank you for your comments, however I disagree regarding the second topic. During the playback The blue dot is not moving. On every footage is only presenting the first moment. Can you please advice?
After downloading the file from K2 to iPhone, I'm able to view it but the map icon (it means the possibility to view it on the map) is only on rear camera? Is that correct? Additionally, looking on the map during playing the video there is movement of blue dot. Is that correct?
Got a response from the vendor (Earthshine Software). Apparently what I'm seeing is quite common and not actually a problem. It's normal to see a lot of "wrench icons" on video files from dashcam systems.
Using Dashcam Viewer 3.4.0 here. Reviving this thread because almost EVERY K2 video file I look at in Dashcam Viewer has GPS problems.
The most common error is "Found fewer GPS points than expected for this movie. Attempting workaround."
I also see a few with the error "Some GPS data points out of chronological order. Applying a fix."
The only files that don't show any GPS errors are partial ones, that is, files that are less than 3 minutes (the file duration I'm using).
I recently upgraded my K2 from the v0.57 to the v0.67 firmware, but it hasn't changed the issue.
There are no apparent problems with showing system position while watching the K2 videos. No jumps to impossible positions or seemingly missing segments.
I'm wondering whether this is a real problem, or just Dashcam Viewer giving a false error message.
I had similar problem in the past and still have it with some files, typically ones with a wrench icon shown on the file in Dashcam Viewer. I communicated the the Dashcam Viewer developer and he said issue would be fixed in the next version of Dashcam Viewer. The current version available for download is 3.3.2. So if you're not running that version, suggest you try it. If you're already running current version, and have confirmed your GPS is enabled in the K2, then not sure what else to try.
Good luck!
