Hi....no lights coming on at controller ...Blue indicator light on convertor is on at all times...have tried
disconnecting and reconnected leads on recorder to no avail...can't connect to unit...obviously no videos...particularly annoying as this happened just hours before a trip to Portugal which would have produced some stunning videos...any thoughts please
Glad the problem has been resolved. That is the advantage of this forum.
Enjoy your K3!
Hi Hans....thanks so much for your help and replies, there was indeed no power on yellow line, had to plug in Denali canbus controller and reset , this has cured the issue.....Thanks again
Did you measure on the yellow wire that goes to the dc converter or the wire that goes from the dc converter to the K3?
There must be a voltage on the yellow wire that goes to the dc converter when the contact is turned on. If there isn't, it's not a problem with the dc converter, but it's a problem that the yellow wire doesn't get any voltage.
So.....I didn't disconnect.....I have just checked and there is no power to the trigger wire when ignition on so I take it there is an issue with the dc convertor...
Hi Steve, because of the post in the K2 forum I assumed it was about the K2.
As for your K3. If you connect it to a power bank, the WiFi will be turned off automatically. So it may be true that the blue WiFi LED goes out. A green LED that lights up continuously means that video is being recorded.
When you connected the power bank, did you disconnect the power module from the K3?
What happens if you disconnect the powerbank and connect the power module back to your K3 and switch on the ignition of your motorcycle? Is the yellow wire getting voltage? Because this is the trigger wire to boot your K3.
Hi Hans ....sorry its a K3 I have which replaced my K2.....with power bank attached GPS light flashes on controller, green video light flashes then solid, blue wireless light flashes, then wireless stops flashing and all lights go out except for blue solid on dc convertor
Have you tried connecting the K2 to a USB power-bank?
This is to rule out problems with the power supply module.
If you have the K2 with plastic connectors, it can happen that the connector of the power supply does not make good contact. Bending the pins of the male connector slightly sometimes helps.
