@innovv,
On my K2 DVR, I have noticed that the timestamp in the filename for the front and rear paired files are always a few seconds off from each other. When this occurs near the end of the minute, the two files can also have a different minute in their filename. This tends to confuse the DashCam Viewer software such that the rear video disappears (or gets out of sync).
Would it be possible to change the filename algorythm to generate a single timestamp at file creation and use that same timestamp to name both of the paired Front and Rear videos (rather than create a unique timestamp for each (F & R)?
That is interesting because I do not allow the DVR to connect to my phone. It can only connect when I manually click it to connect, which other than initial setup is pretty rare ...
My question comes from the following list of file names:
… 10/26/2019 09:53 AM 92,113,197 20191026_105215_F.MP4 10/26/2019 09:53 AM 92,161,297 20191026_105215_R.MP4 10/26/2019 09:54 AM 92,127,901 20191026_105309_F.MP4 10/26/2019 09:54 AM 92,089,101 20191026_105310_R.MP4 10/26/2019 09:54 AM 65,455,745 20191026_105409_F.MP4 10/26/2019 09:54 AM 65,448,333 20191026_105410_R.MP4 10/26/2019 10:31 AM 92,121,773 20191026_113031_F.MP4 10/26/2019 10:31 AM 92,095,073 20191026_113031_R.MP4 …
Please note that in the bold examples above the front and rear paired video filenames have different time stamps, even though there were created "at the same time".
This appears to confuse the DashCam Viewer and the videos are not played simultaneously as front and rear pairs. Usually for me the rear video disappears until the next minute (mine is set for 1 minute loop) pairs play.
The question whether or not the firmware can stop creating two distinct time stamps for use in the filenames (one for front and a new one for rear) and instead create one time stamp that is used for both the front and rear video filenames by simply appending the "_F" or the "_R" as appropriate. This would guarantee that the front and rear video pair filenames would always bear the same time stamp making it easier for them to be recognized and played simultaneously by DashCam Viewer.
I mention it because the 0.61 firmware has dropped the serialization from the filename (i.e. filenames no longer contain the "timestamp_XXXX_F.mp4" and are now just "timestamp_F.mp4"), so I wondered how much control the firmware has over the filenames, or if it is a built in function of the video processor chipset.
In DVR recording, each video is named according to the time on your phone.
And these times cannot be modified through the APP.
The duration of the loop recording determines the length of each video interval.
If you want to rename video files, you need to copy all video files to your computer.
