I also had this camera initialization message and found my issue to be a blocked internet connection from my VPN service on my Phone. I logged off my service and everything worked perfectly. Something to think about if you have a VPN service.
I'm at work right now, but I swapped the camera ports and everything seemed to function just fine at a glance! I'll actually test it out on my way home in another 7 hours and provide an update. (The "front" feed is now the rear and vise versa, but I can definitely live with that!)
I'm not quite sure why it would give me a problem, as it was wired in the other way previously and it worked, which is why I went ahead and mounted the front camera lens because I saw it was working. But regardless, I'm extremely appreciative of your input sir, you have saved me a LOT of frustration and confusion.
Unfortunately, I cannot tell you what caused the problem.
I do know that the problem has been mentioned on this forum before. Maybe you can find the answer in other topics. You might still try to reconnect the cameras in the original way.
Who knows, it may now continue to work properly and it has been a one-time problem.@innovv would you like to think along with this problem?
I am having a similar issue and cannot find the fix for it.
In summary, I installed the K2 on my Triumph while at work (I work at the Triumph dealership and had our techs oversee what I had done). We wired everything in except for the front camera, which I plugged into the DVR and left in the tail of my bike for the ride home, and everything worked properly. However, the next day I unplugged the front camera only, routed the wire and mounted the lens, then plugged back in the front camera and got this "Camera initialization failed" error anytime I've tried to use it since.
It worked properly before so I know it's wired in correctly.
Here's what I've tried since getting the error message:
* Unplugged, cleaned and replugged the cameras.
* Updated firmware on 32GB SD card in FAT32 format for DVR.
* Made sure lights blinked to indicate firmware update occurred.
* Redownloaded the newest version of the INNOVV App.
* Made sure all permissions were granted.
* Reset the DVR.
* Forgot K2 wifi network and reconnected.
* Made sure I have been in Airplane mode for all of this.
If anyone has any suggestions at all I would be very grateful!

If you swap the front camera and the rear camera on the main unit, will the problem remain?
So connect both cameras but swapped.

Thanks for the help.
It's working again😀
Could you please check the location function of your phone?
Please make sure the function is on when you using the APP.
Or you can turn on the airplane mode and then try to connect again under this mode.
