The K1 system works well...most of the time. The mini-USB connection on the DVR is very touchy, and is somewhat loose. I keep the DVR installed in the bike, and have never needed to remove it (touch-wood) to review incidents etc. As a result, after I start the bike, I always have to make sure that the rather dim red LED on the push-button doo-hickey is illuminated. If it is not glowing red, then I have to jiggle the UBS cable to the DVR to get it to start recording. Sigh! I have had the K1 installed for over one year and it kind of feels weird to not have it there recording my travels.
Is there anyone else have issues with the mini-USB power connection to the DVR?

Checked the YouTube video link - I will give that a try. Thank you.
You are probably right. I found that the keeping the USB cable in a particular position ensures no further power issues. But for now, I am happy to keep checking for power each time I turn the ignition on - if no red light, I just move the usb cable a little and power is good again.
I think the usb holder would fix your issue. You may also check on the usb cable plug for the PINs...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTCnF2sKBZk
No, I bought my K1 before thenew USB holder was available.
I bought 2 K1's at the same time (one for my bike, and one for my wife's bike). Only my DVR has the problematic power connetion.
Do you have the new usb holder on it ?
