Folks, my own K1 was initially somewhat unreliable (restarts, freezes..) and eventually totally died, and Innovv kindly replaced it, FOC (I dealt with them directly...). However, after that, and with it then operating quite ok, I made the error of flashing it, when I noticed a newer SW version on Innovv's site.
The flash has bricked the thing... I have tried all the recovery methods both those listed by Innovv and a few I know, nothing works. the odd thing is that it appeared to flash-update correctly and I could check through all menus etc. and all was normal after the flash completed. Then I turned it off and that was that! Now, it won't respond in any way at all.. weird.
Any suggestions?? :(
@dwrycraft, thanks for feedback, I just want to people trust INNOVV and believe it takes care products and customers. they are not going to make cheap products.
Just to comment back on this, Innovv replaced the DVR 'box' and it's ok now, thank you...
You can send message to sales@innovv.com, and mentioned your issue and our discussion, need to send DVR back, you will get instruction in details.
Rock, thanks for explaining, I had some feeling it was something like that.. whats the best way to ship it back? -I don't have a problem with paying for the shipping as needed.
Did as you mentioned before, and get problem as @dwrycraft experienced.
Rock, why you not share full firmware for different HW revisions? Sometimed more useful to repair unit manually without sending unit back.
@dwrycraft, the case happened on you also happened on other customers. people always are curious with new firmware and would like to update.
One chips set from K1 was changed because the last one stop production, and the firmware was revised accordingly, no new features updated.
So the last firmware you updated does not support your DVR with a old chipset and DVR was dead.
You need to send DVR back for update firmware with machine.
and the last firmware had been removed to avoid such thing happen again.
Maybe try to get full flash image and reflash with TTL866?
