I checked my video clips yesterday and found that the date & time overlay on the videos was about a week behind the actual date & time. It's winter in Colorado, and the weather isn't conducive to riding every day, but I get out as often as possible. I upgraded to the latest firmware, and the date & time is now only about 15 hours behind.
Is this a usage problem? How does the unit obtain the date & time? GPS or what? Can I correct the date & time stamp through the app or any other way? Thanks.
I found out that if you connect the power supply and plug it into a USB charger but leave the camera off, it will maintain the time and date.
The H5 has no GPS receiver and therefore no time correction from a GPS signal. The H5 can only get the correct time from the app. So time from your phone. To do this, use the time calibration function in the app. It is possible that if the H5 has not been used for a long time without a battery connected, or has had a software update, the correct time may be lost.
Open the App. Connect to your device. In the settings, under Advanced, there is a Time Calibration option. I think this resets the time/date to your phone time/date.
I was having that issue, but it's been a while since I have used the H5. If I recall correctly the update software solved that issue. Do keep us informed V Ess. Inquiring minds want to know-grin.😎
