H5 woes

Losing faith with h5, lost foam off mic first trip, so upgraded mic as I seen a lot of folk have, rubbish it was, so much distortion, even with it inside my jacket pocket,and on noise reduction 2, have got a bit sponge on old mic, but it's not easy to route it inside crash helmet, camera is on side of crash helmet, lambretta I drive, what's everyone'sbest settings , so frustrating..lost last few days videos because of noise ..

In this topic you can see how I placed the external microphone in my helmet. Maybe this is also an option for you? I have the recording volume set to 2.

Hi, I know there is an external power adapter with mic available, but it's not very practical. Something where the mic can be left affixed within the helmet, and then plug in to the camera would be best, like with many other action cameras. Maybe some mic setup that can be used with the H5 batte
