Wi-Fi settings?

I'm having problems with the wifi connection to my phone. It connects then after a minute or so it disconnects. I'm guessing it's a phone issue, any tips on proper settings?

What Mobile phone do you have?

 

Follow up below procedure to do check,

 

1. Make DVR and mobile phone close like 20cm.

2. Remove SD card from DVR.

3. Turn on ignition, Green WiFi LED is flashing, Red Power button flashes quickly.

4. Connect to your mobile phone via WiFi to see if it works.

 

If Connected, Please change SD card.

I have an LG android phone.

 

Followed the test instructions the other day and everything checked out. Switched from a 64 gig Samsung to a 32 gig Sandisk and it still kicks me off wifi after a few minutes. Also, I get an error message when trying to view the live feed and then the app closes. I can see the live video behind the error message before it shuts down.

It also does this sometimes, possibly wifi interference I've read in a few other posts?

Looks like default settings and permissions. I have also noticed if checking thumbnails to see if it's recording, it stops. I did this before leaving work the other day and missed a road rage video between a car and a van, too bad.

If you check the setting, or review the recordings, before exiting the APP, you need to enable the recording.

 

Anyway, App will be updated, no matter what reason to exit App, the camera system will automatically start recording.

  • Hi, Last week we(in Europe) changed time to be one hour back(-1h), due to switching from summer to winter time. My C5 doesn't want to switch to correct time and stays one hour ahead. There is no way to change it through the app settings manually. C5 firmware and the App on the smartphone(iPhone 6) are both last versions. I leaved the Phone app connected through the WiFi to C5 permanently, everything works fine, phone has the right time, but C5 still works with timestamp 1 hour ahead. What to do to fix that?
  • The camera doesn't connect, and the red light stays on, so I have no idea if it has recorded anything, the forum is no help, waste of money!
  • Hello, I bought a replacement C5 for a broken one. I updated the firmware and it seems to behave normally but I cannot turn off the WiFi. When I press the green button it flashes and eventually reconnects. It never gives the 1 flash per second. Has there been a change? Thanks.
