Hi, recently got my C5 and trying to set it up. Last night it worked fine but this morning when I went to install it on my bike it no longer works.
When plugged in, the red led flashes once then after about 3 seconds the green wifi led comes on and stays on solid green. The red power light is off entirely.
Have tried connecting it to the battery and connecting it to USB power, 2 different microSD cards, replugging the camera connection in and resetting it via the reset button multiple times.
Any ideas?
Hey Rock any update onthe 10sec loop issue that seems to be the root cause here?
hi guys
so I am currently stuck with the solid green light but I cant seem to get the unit to install new firmware what am i doing wrong
Hi Rock, thanks for the clarification.
Hi Dave, there is no hardware spec requirement, but the operation system, should be compatible with iOS8.3 or Android 5.1 and Above.
Those has been stated in user manual.
Anyway, will update it to the spec page.
Rock, seeing that there is a certain minimum spec required for a device to operate the C5 app adequately, would it be possible to state it on the Innovv C5 spec page? (https://www.innovv.com/innovv-c5-spec) Or at least recommend a minimum spec.
@smileymiley931, well noted your message.
1. Just released new firmware today to solve the bug of 10 minute loop recordign, and other small issues. You can download from below link.
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/kbolp6rs487zd1n/AAAM5yI2tJVh1ale8dBTpOBva?dl=0
2. What SD card do you have? It should be formatted to be FAT32.
3. What mobile phone do you have?
You also can contact our guys and we can do phone call live support for you.
Ok....So Ive downloaded the Zip firmware file from the C5 page & pasted it onto my SDHC card. I can see that it`s on there. Plugged the C5 back onto the bike & bingo....Still the same.
Had I not of just purchased this I would be thinking to myself right now...1lb or 4 Lb hammer?
It isnt the start I either needed or wanted.
I have emailed them @ INNOVV so I`ll wait for their reply.
The guy I purchased the kit from has done as much as I expected so at least that's a positive & I`m sure INNOVV will be just as helpful.
Thanks again for your advice
Hi, thanks for replying to my problem with the C5.
I definitely think I`m onto something with this settings change within the App. In my case & some others here by changing the loop time from 3 minutes to 10 seems to send the dvr AWOL. I have tried the reset thing several times but I`m going to try a firmware installation soon to see if that helps. Thanks again
Paul
Essex nice place
funny that as im from essex
have you tried the reset .?
you will need a paper clip
if you want to reinstal the firmware you need to download it from the C5 page
then plug the unit into your pc via the usb connector behind the rubber cover
then copy and paste the firmware file onto your card
unplug the unit from the pc and try to turn it on
or just replug the unit back in to the pc
Hello & welcome from Essex (UK). Come across this forum looking at the companies website. I too have exactly the same problem with the steady green light & no other indications. Like others on here I altered some of the settings including the loop time & since then I have been unable to power up the unit or gain Wi-Fi access to the android app. So my question is simple, how do I reinstall the firmware if I cant turn the dvr on or access the app?
Anyones help would be most welcome at this most frustrating time.
Regards

As you have seen, we are looking closely to see the feedback from customers.
im going to watch this tread with interest as im having similar problems
OK, As our guys are checking now, if happened here, firmware will be fixed, it is not difficult.
And confirmed the bug, has been put into the list for change.
Formatting was done via App and I tried the steps you mentioned earlier but it as no impact on the issue.
Soon as you change the loop mode setting to 10mn, next time unit is switched ON it will stay with solid green and no matter what is done the only fix to remove the solid green is to reload the firmware.
This only happens when changing the loop time to 10mn, it is not happening on the 5mn.
We have been checking on the loop time issue you mentioned. We do look after the feedback very carefully.
Once camera system is recording, both Red, green buttons are blinking. Press red button to make it stop blinking, and then press green button for 8 seconds to format SD CARD.
You also can format it from setting via App.
Hi Rock Liu,
SD card was formatted on the unit. like I always do on every device units working with SD cards.
I tried the steps that you recommended, but it didn't fix the issue.
Soon as I change the loop time to 10mn and restart the unit , this one will start and solid green will appear and no matter what you do the unit will stay like this until firmware reinstallation to unblock it.
There is really something wrong with the 10mn loop time setting.
By the way, can you please explain, what is supposed to do, the long press Green WiFi button for 8 seconds ?
Regards,
Pascal
I think you're on to something Pascal, the first time I set it up I also changed it to 10 minutes. After reflashing the firmware to get it working again I didn't bother changing any of the settings and everything seems to be working ok.
I'm using a 32GB Samsung EVO+ card.
@Pacal, Please format SD card in DVR by below options,
1. Format SD card from the setting of App.
2. Power on DVR, stop recording, Red light is solid, Long press Green WiFi button for 8 seconds.
Hi all,
After spending 2 hours playing with the unit, due the solid green light (froozen unit) after starting issue, I think that I've found the problem.
By default the unit out of the box is recording on 3mn loop time, when no changes are applied on the default setting, the unit is working smoothly, tested many times powering the unit ON/OFF with no issue.
When changing the loop time to 5mn, the unit still work ok. The problem comes soon as the loop time is changed to max 10mn loop time.
Change is well shown as applied on App but soon as the unit is turned off, the next turning ON, the solid green light will appear and the unit will be blocked.
Only fix to unblock the unit is to reinstall the firmware.
ps- I am using actually an SanDisk Extreme 64GB V30 microsd card.

Strange that this issue as pass trough the testing phase...Rock Liu, this must be checked on !
I have the same issue, solid green led light when turning the unit/bike on and then it is not turning off automatically. I tried to reinstall the firmware it worked for one time On/Off and at the second turning the bike On/Off the issue is back.
- Green led is On but no WiFi is available on smartphone.
- Tried to format the SD card on the unit itself it didn't help.
- Turn-off is set for 10s on the App and recording loop time 10mn.
