I'm a relatively new rider, so I'm always looking for learning opportunities. Unfortunately I had one last week when I wiped out on a wet road. I wasn't sure what caused me to crash and my only guess was that I was accelerating during a turn too quickly and the road was just slippery.
Luckily I was able to get the footage off of my C5 and see that it was actually a painted white line that I went over. I got no traction at all.
Here is the video of my accident from the C5. https://vimeo.com/293860385
Thank you for sharing. The C5 had done good job.
Such thing happened, two year ago, other customer reported the same crash.
Good lucky, both were OK.
hope you're ok - slippery things them lines in the wet, manhole covers are too :(
Most white road markings, inspection covers, tar banding or over banding can be slippery in the wet, especially if braking on them.
Ideally, try to avoid them and certainly do not brake, or reduce speed as you're on them
keep on the grey bits!
